Choose between two transfer methods

SEPA real-time transfer
With SEPA instant payments, the credit appears immediately after the transfer, and the money is immediately available in the recipient's account, even on Sundays and public holidays. This applies to payments within the entire SEPA area.

SEPA standard transfer
A standard transfer from one BBVA account to another BBVA account also happens immediately, while standard transfers to other banks in the Eurozone can take 1 to 2 business days. When you initiate a transfer, we will show you the date upon which the money will arrive.
Save your contacts for your next transfer
Want to make transfers easier and faster? You can save recipients in the address book. Here's how it works:
- Open the App, go to your profile and click on “Account” > “Transfers” > “My Contacts.”
- Choose “Add contact” and enter their name and IBAN. You can save multiple account numbers for the same person.
- After completing the form you will receive a text message as confirmation.
Under “My Contacts” you can search for, change or delete saved recipients.
How do I make a transfer?
- Open the BBVA App and go to the menu.
- Select “All Functions” from the menu, then “Transfers.”
- Select your account, enter the IBAN, the name of the recipient andthe amount.
- Choose the transfer type, such as Standard Transfer or SEPA Instant Payment.
- You will receive a code via text message, which you must enter for confirmation.
