Transfer easily and quickly

The default limits for transfers are as follows:

• SEPA standard transfers:
  - €100,000 per transaction and per day
  - €700,000 per week.
• SEPA real-time transfers:
  - €5,000 per transaction,
  - €5,000 per day.

To make the adjustment, select: Menu > All features > Change transfer limits.
(This feature is only available in the BBVA App (iOS and Android), not in online banking via the browser.)

For security reasons, the change is confirmed through biometric authentication (e.g. face ID or fingerprint) or approved via click.

If you would like to immediately increase your limit to over €100,000 (standard transfer) or over €5,000 (SEPA instant payment), please call us from your verified phone. This way we can make the adjustment directly.

The SEPA instant payment will be credited within seconds after you make it.

A standard transfer from a BBVA account to another BBVA account occurs instantly, while transfers to other banks take 1 to 2 business days, depending on the time of the transfer. We will show you the date the money will arrive when you initiate the transfer.

Please note that transfers initiated on Saturdays, Sundays, January 1, Good Friday, Easter Monday, May 1, December 25 and 26 will be processed on the next business day.

BBVA Germany's SWIFT/BIC code is BBVADEFFXXX.

It is used to provide the bank with a unique ID in international financial transactions. The code is essential for ensuring that funds are correctly transferred between banks.

Please do not try again, as this may result in a double transaction.

Instead, do the following:

• Review the notification carefully: Possible causes may be insufficient funds or a problem with the recipient account (e.g. missing data or an unregistered recipient). 
• Wait a few minutes and check your account activity.

If you're not sure, call the BBVA hotline at +49 69 58 996 454. We'll review whether the payment was made correctly.

If an error occurs, review the error message carefully before attempting the transfer again (e.g. missing data, insufficient balance, etc.). In order to avoid duplicate transfers, wait a few minutes and check your account activity.

If you have entered the wrong recipient or amount, the transfer was made twice, or if any other problem occurs, you can contact the BBVA hotline at +49 69 58 996 454.

In the app: Select your account on the home page. Click on "New transfer" and enter the required data.

At BBVA.de: Move your mouse pointer over to your account and click on “New transfer.” Enter the required data.

In the app:

Select your account on the home page and go to "Transfers."
Enter the transfer details.
Select the “SEPA instant transfer” option.

In online banking:

Move your mouse pointer over to your account and click “Transfers.”
Enter the transfer details and choose the option "SEPA instant transfer."

Transfers that have already been made cannot be canceled. If there is an error, you can request a refund within 13 months from the transfer date.

SEPA instant payments are immediately credited to the recipient's account and for this reason cannot be canceled. If there is an error, you can request a refund within 13 months from the transfer date.
