Cookie Policy

You can review and select cookies in the cookie settings.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (e.g. laptop, smartphone or tablet) when you use our website. They help us recognize your device – during your visit and also when you return later. We use the term “cookies” here in a very general way. This also includes similar technologies such as flash cookies, web beacons and so-called fingerprinting techniques that are used to uniquely identify devices.

What are cookies used for?

We use our own and third-party cookies for various purposes – for example, to recognize you during your visit (and when you return later), to better understand how you use our products or what interests you, to collect statistical data, to personalize content for you, and to improve our offering. In the cookie list in the settings you can find out exactly what each cookie is used for.

Cookies differ depending on their purpose, storage period and provider:

  • Technical cookies: Cookies that allow you to navigate the website, platform or app and use their features or services. This also includes cookies that are necessary for the operation and administration of the site - for example, to control traffic and communication, recognize your session, allow you access to secure areas, remember content or processes in a specific order, or to correctly complete a logout process. They also help process payments, prevent fraud related to site security, ask you to register for an event, count visits (for example, to bill for the software licenses used), enable security features while browsing, store content, and play video and audio content. They also enable dynamic content such as animations or automatically loading text and images. Even when you use websites that operate through this platform – for example, to share content on social networks or display embedded posts – these cookies are necessary for everything to function smoothly.
  • Preference and personalization cookies: Preference and personalization cookies help us remember certain information about you so you can use the service in a way that suits you best – with settings and content that are tailored to your needs. This could be, for example, your preferred language, products that are of particular interest to you, or content that is adapted based on your browser or region. These cookies ensure that your visit is more personal and convenient than it would be for other users.
  • Analysis cookies: Analytics cookies help us understand how you use our website – for example, which pages you view, how long you stay, or how you navigate the site. We can also measure the impact of advertising in this way. We use the information we receive to improve the website, platform or app as a whole and to make targeted improvements.
  • Profiling cookies: Profiling cookies store information about how you behave on the Internet – in other words, which pages you visit, what you look at and how you surf. These habits are used to create a personal profile so that you are shown advertising that is more relevant to your behavior and interests.

Depending on how long cookies are stored, they can be divided into different categories:

  • Session cookies: These cookies only store information for as long as you are currently using our website. For example, they remember what you have put in your shopping cart or what steps you are currently taking – everything that is important at the moment. As soon as you leave the site or close your browser, these cookies are automatically deleted.
  • Persistent cookies store information on your device beyond the duration of your visit. They remain for a certain period of time – from a few minutes to several years – and help to recognize you on future visits and to retrieve settings or data.

Depending on the operator:

  • First-party cookies are cookies that come directly from the website you are currently visiting. In other words, from the company or domain that provides the service you are using.
  • Third-party cookies come from another website or company that does not directly operate the site you are visiting. These cookies are set by third parties who process the data from the cookies – for example, to improve their own services or to display advertisements for other companies. Even if the cookies come from the site itself but the information is later used by a third party, they count as third-party cookies if the third party uses the data for its own purposes.
Apart from the cookies that are absolutely necessary for you to be able to navigate the site or use its features (i.e. the technical or technically necessary cookies), we only use all the other cookies if you give us your consent - either via the cookie banner or by making your choices in the cookie settings.

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by adjusting your cookie settings. If you withdraw your consent, the processing of your data will remain lawful until the time at which you gave it. You can access your cookie settings at any time using the link at the top of this Cookie Policy. We will store your choices for up to 24 months, but will ask you periodically whether you want to confirm them. We will also ask for your consent again if there are any changes to the cookies or how they are used, or if a new third-party cookie provider comes into play after you have already given your consent. For third-party cookies, revoking your consent is done directly with the respective provider. You can also delete these cookies through your browser settings or through the system provided by the third-party provider. You can find the relevant links in the cookie settings. Generally, you can at any time allow, block, or delete cookies as well as all information about your visit (including cookies) directly in your browser. Just check your browser’s settings and instructions.

If you disable all cookies, you will still be able to access the website, but some features and services may not work properly or may be limited.

Protection of personal data

Some cookies may process personal data. This means that you will be identified, for example, by your name, email address (for example, when registering) or IP address. This also includes unique identifiers such as advertising IDs that can recognize and track you. You can find more information on how we process your personal data here in our Privacy Policy.

We may modify this policy at any time if the law requires it or if the type of cookies we use changes.
