In Germany, OBS acts as an insurance agent within the meaning of Section 34d, paragraph 1, sentence 2, no. 1 of the Trade Regulation Act (hereinafter “GewO”) with the exception of the licensing requirement pursuant to Section 34d paragraph 7 no. 2 GewO in the exercise of the freedom to provide services pursuant to Article 4 of Directive (EU) 2016/97 of the European Parliament and of the Council of January 20, 2016 on insurance sales.

The policyholder has the right, without prejudice to the possibility of appealing to the ordinary courts, to file a complaint:
- Directly to the insurance company that issued the insurance policy, if the complaint concerns the relationship between the policyholder and the insurance company.
