First, you need to block your card in your online banking at bbva.de, via the BBVA app, or the BBVA hotline at +49 69 58 996 454. You can choose one of these two options:
- Block card:
If you block your card, you will receive a new card with the same contract and the same PIN as the old one. However, this new card has a different PAN (Primary Account Number) and does not show the blocked card's previous transactions.
- Card on/off:
You can also temporarily deactivate your card and reactivate it later. This allows you to limit the use of the card without having to permanently block it or apply for a new card.
To ensure that all your transactions are correct, please review your account and card transactions. If you notice anything suspicious, send a fraud report via your personal area on bbva.de, via the BBVA app, or call the BBVA hotline at +49 69 58 996 454.
