The annual interest rate is calculated on amounts up to a maximum of €500,000, with no minimum amount. Interest is calculated daily based on your account balance at the end of each day and credited monthly, minus applicable tax deductions.

For the first 6 months after you have opened your account, the gross interest rate is 3% p.a. After these first 6 months, the balance will bear interest at a rate of 25% of the ECB deposit facility rate for a period of 5 years starting on the date that the account is opened. The interest rate is adjusted quarterly. The calculation is based on the interest rate for the ECB deposit facility, which is determined on the day before the new quarter. The current ECB deposit facility rate can be viewed at www.ecb.europa.eu. The bank will notify the customer of the current interest rate at the beginning of each quarter.

The interest rate is calculated based on the sum of the current account balance and the Sparbox, and is credited every month to the current account.
