1. Log in to the BBVA App

Keep the username and your password ready that you set when opening your account. This information will help you log into the BBVA App. If you have forgotten your login credentials, we will help you restore them - it's quite easy.

2. Top up your account

Top up your BBVA account and enjoy all the benefits of your free forever current account. It's as simple as that:

  • Top-up with card: Top up your balance with your card from another German bank.
  • Top-up via transfer: Deposit money into your account via bank transfer.
  • Top-up with Cash via App: At thousands of retail partners, you can deposit cash into your account at checkout.

3. Activate cashback

Start now and get real money back on every purchase with BBVA Cashback.

  • Add your card: Add your card to your wallet or use your physical card. You can also use your card number for online purchases.
  • Make a purchase: Make a purchase within the first 90 days of your registration, in-store or online, with no minimum amount.
  • Get even more cashback: In your first month you will also receive an additional 10% extra cashback* on purchases up to €500. That's up to €50 extra on top of your3% Cashback**. Your cashback will be automatically credited to your account.
*Until April 7, 2026, the 10% extra cashback promotion requires a first transaction within 90 days of opening a BBVA account and is valid for the first €500 in purchases made with the debit card during the first month after the first purchase. **Cashback promotion: The BBVA Cashback Offer requires that a BBVA current account be opened. It is valid for the first 6 months after this opening. 

3.5% cashback: The cashback reward lasts for 6 months beginning with your first transaction with the debit card. The first transaction must be completed within 90 days of opening the account.
The reward applies to your online and offline debit card purchases for the first €350 in purchase value. This is the equivalent of a maximum monthly reward of €12.25.

The following are excluded from cashback: Fee-related BBVA card payments to the credit of financial companies and banks, cryptocurrencies, gambling and betting, payments to debt collection agencies, and cash withdrawals.
